ediAcknowledgment. MapTransactionSetLevelErrorByAck

Maps a Framework EDI standard error code to an acknowledgment code, which reports errors in the Transaction Set/Message Group semantic level of the subject document.  This operation applies to a specific acknowledgment type.

Syntax:

• <lretval> = object.MapTransactionSetLevelErrorByAck(<sAckID>, <lErrorCode>, <lAckErrorCode>, [<sTransactionSetId>], [<sSegmentId>], [<sElementId>], [<sSubElementId>])

Parameters:

• sAckID – Transaction Set/Message identifier of the acknowledgment that will process the error code.
• lErrorCode – Framework EDI standard error code.
• lAckErrorCode – Acknowledgment error code written out to acknowledgment file. If zero, then the mapping of <lErrorCode> is removed.
• sTransactionSetId – Optional. ID of the Transaction Set/Message that generates the error.
• sSegmentId – Optional. ID of data segment that generates the error.
• sElementId – Optional. ID of data element that generates the error.
• sSubElementId – Optional. ID of component data element that generates the error.

Returns

Returns a value of 1 if successful, otherwise 0 if the operation failed.

Remarks

NOTE: This method is functionally equivalent to MapMessageLevelErrorByAck.

This method operates like MapTransactionSetLevelError but applies to the acknowledgment type specified by sAckID, which can be one of the following:

• 997 - Functional Acknowledgment for ASC/X12.
• 999 - Implementation Acknowledgment for ASC/X12.
• CONTRL - Functional Acknowledgment for UN/EDIFACT.
