ediAcknowledgment. PropertyByAck

Sets or gets property values in the object.  This operation applies to a specific acknowledgment type.

Syntax:

• object.PropertyByAck(<propertyType>, <sAckID>) = <value>
• <value> = object.PropertyByAck(<propertyType>, <sAckID>)

Parameters:

• Property Type – Type of property to set or get from the document. The property types available are listed in Acknowledgment Property ID Constants.
• sAckID – Transaction Set/Message identifier of the acknowledgment where option will be applied.

Returns

Returns a variant data type containing the value of the property type requested.

Remarks

This method operates like Property but applies to the acknowledgment type specified by sAckID, which can be one of the following:

• 997 - Functional Acknowledgment for ASC/X12.
• 999 - Implementation Acknowledgment for ASC/X12.
• CONTRL - Functional Acknowledgment for UN/EDIFACT.
