Gets the requirement of the data element as defined by the published standard.

Syntax:

 Remarks

Currently the acceptable values for the requirement are as follows:

 ASC/X12

• M – Mandatory
• O – Optional

 UN/EDIFACT

• M – Mandatory
• C – Conditional (Optional)
