ediSecurityCertificateStore. RemoveCertificate

Remove a certificate in the certificate store.

Syntax:

• <lretval> = object.RemoveCertificate(<sSubjectName>, <sIssuerName>, <sHexSerialNumber>)

 Parameters:

• sSubjectName – Subject name of certificate to remove.
• sIssuerName – Name of issuer of certificate.
• sHexSerialNumber – Serial number of certificate to remove.  The serial number must be a hex representation of the serial number (e.g. 00-01-AA-BB).

Returns:

Returns 1 if the operation is successful; otherwise returns 0 if the operation fails.

Remarks:

The sSubjectName, sIssuerName and sHexSerialNumber are used to search for the certificate in the certificate store.  See Locating a Digital Certificate.

Note: The certificate is only removed from the certificate store but the certificate itself is not physically deleted from the system.
