ediSecurityKeyContainer. GetDigitalSignature

Returns the string representation of the digital signature of the file.

Syntax:

• <lretval> = object.GetDigitalSignature(<sFileName>, <lEncodingFilter>, <sSignAlgorithm>, <lKeyPairType>, <lSignatureFormatType>)

Parameters:

• sFileName – Full path name of file to sign.
• lEncodingFilter – Encoding mechanism to translate the binary contents of the resulting digital signature to a string.  Supported encoding mechanisms are listed under Encoding Mechanism Type Constants.
• sSignAlgorithm – Signature algorithm used to sign the file.
• lKeyPairType - The key pair of the key container to use.  The supported key pair types are listed in Key Pair Type ID.
• lSignatureFormatType – Signature format of resulting digital signature.  The supported signature formats are listed in Signature Format Type Constants.

Remarks:

The private key of the key container is used to sign a file.
