ediSecurityKeyContainer. SignFile

Signs a file.

Syntax:

• <lretval> = object.SignFile(<sFileName>, <sSignAlgorithm>, <lKeyPairType>, <lSignatureFormatType>, <sSignedFileName>)

Parameters:

• sFileName – Full path name of file to sign.
• sSignAlgorithm – Signature algorithm used to sign the file.
• lKeyPairType - The key pair of the key container to use.  The supported key pair types are listed in Key Pair Type ID.
• lSignatureFormatType – Signature format of resulting signed file.  The supported signed file formats are listed in Signature Format Type Constants.
• sSignedFileName– Full path name of the signed target file.

Returns:

Returns 1 if the operation is successful; otherwise the operation returns zero.

Remarks:

The private key of the key container is used to sign a file.
