mailTransferEncoding. MechanismName

Sets or gets the encoding mechanism.

Syntax:

• <sMechanism> = object. MechanismName 
• object. MechanismName = < sMechanism>
  

Remarks:

Valid values for mechanisms are:

• "7bit"
• "8bit"
• "binary"
• "quoted-printable"
• "base64"
• "baudot"
• "eda-filter"
• "edc-filter"
• "hexadecimal"
• "radix64"
• "uuencode"

If the message contains the transfer encoding mechanism value, the body is decoded using the mechanism when the message is read. When the message is prepared, the body is encoded using the mechanism specified.
