Delimiters in ASC/X12

In ASC/X12, delimiters can vary from interchange to interchange. This is evident by the fact that each interchange header has a data element that specify a character for a component element separator; in versions 4020 and later, the interchange header has a data element that specify a character for a repeating element separator.
