| .INI Section |
The initial information of the SEF file is located in the .INI section. The following information are provided in the section and must occur in the following order:
1. Implementation name.
2. Reserved.
3. Functional group version. The version, release and industry information of the EDI standard that the SEF file is pertinent to are separated by a space. Example, for ASC/X12 version 004010, the information is saved as: 004 010; for ASC/X12 version 004010 with industry X096A1 the information is saved as: 004 010 X096A1; for UN/EDIFACT version D96A the information is stored as: D 96A.
4. Controlling agency. The controlling agency of the EDI standard that the SEF file is pertinent to. This can be "X" for ASC/X12 or "UN" for UN/EDIFACT.
5. Standard implementation. EDI standard implementation of the SEF file. Example, "X12-4010".
6. Description of implementation. Example, "Draft Standards Approved for Publication by ASC X12 Procedures Review Board through October 1997".
