To generate an acknowledgment EDI file with the eFileManager, you have to make sure that an  acknowledgment SEF file is included in the opening dialog box.  In the X12 standard, the functional acknowledgment is called the 997, while in the UN/EDIFACT standard, the acknowledgment is called the CONTRL.

Once the eFileManager has completed its validation, you can generate and view the EDI acknowledgment by simply clicking on the Ack icon, or from the menu select View, then Ack.
