Key Containers

Decrypting a File

To decrypt a file, take the following steps:

1. Select and highlight the key container.

   

2. Right click and scroll to Decrypt File in the popup menu.

   

3. The following dialog box is displayed:

   

   Fill in the information for the following entries in the dialog box:

   • Encrypted File.  Enter the full file path of the file to decrypt.  Click (..) to browse for the file.
   • Key Type.  Select the public/private key pair of the key container.  The private key of the selected key pair is used to decrypt:
     • Key Exchange
     • Digital Signature
   • Decrypt File.  Enter the full file path of the resulting decrypted file.  Click (..) to browse for the selected path and target file name.

    

4. Click OK to accept the entries and decrypt the file.
