Key Containers

Verifying a File

To verify a file, take the following steps:

1. Select and highlight the key container that will be used to verify.

   

2. Right click and scroll to Verify File in the popup menu.

   

    

3. The following dialog box is displayed:

   

   Fill in the information for the following entries in the dialog box:

   • Signed File.  Enter the full path name of the file to verify.  Click (..) to browse the file.
   • Signature File.  Enter the full path name of the file containing the digital signature of the file to verify.  Click (..) to browse the file.
   • Algorithm.  Select the algorithm used to sign the file.  Available algorithms depend on the service provider of the key container.
   • Key Type.  Select the public/private key pair of the key container.  The public key of the following selected key pair is used to verify the file:
     • Key Exchange
     • Digital Signature

    

4. Click OK to accept the entries and verify the file.
